Here's a neat bird. A M1864 Federal cartridge box and sling. This pattern box differs from the earlier M1858 box in that instead of affixing a cartridge box plate, the US oval design has been embossed on the outter flap. Sling shows no sign of ever having an eagle breast plate. The rig is complete with tins and is nicely marked Watertown Arsenal 1864 U.S. Overral all I would rate this good to very good. Shows signs of leather crazing on both box and sling. Price $1095
