Fabulous late 19th century black campaign hat. Since many US soldiers wore private purchase hats while on campaign this would be perfect for an Indian War 1870's - 1880'sdisplay. Finding an original M1876 is near impossible and this would be a perfect and accurate substitute. Hat is in very good condition with the only defect being an approximately 1 inch tear on the crown.
