What I am Looking for and What I'm Buying
REWARD
I'm looking for several items for my personal collection. In particular a few items that I sold about five years ago that I still kick myself for selling but hindsight is 20-20. The following airborne related items were sold to a fellow collector and if this fellow collector is reading this and interested in selling them back to me please let me know. These items include a 501st marked D-ring helmet and a jump jacket identified to Charles Liapes of H/506. The other two items I do not recall who purchased them but they were a 29th Infantry Division marked M1 fixed bale and an Assault Jacket as worn by the initial waves in Normandy. Finally I had a M1 Garand that was recovered near the town of La Madeleine which was more than likely dropped by a member of the 4th Infantry Division as it was found just inland of Utah Beach. By now these items may have changed hands a few time so if you currently own one of them I will pay above market price to have them back in my collection once again.
Other items I'm currently looking to purchase for my personal collection include
Infantry White Hat cord ca. 1899 for use with campaign hat
Any khaki cotton service uniforms from 1898 through ca. 1912
Last model of the M1878 canteen with square buckles
Campaign hats from 1876 through 1902
Itentified uniform groupings
Infantry collar brass for use with the Pattern 1902 khaki
cotton serivce coat (these are the large style)
Buying COLLECTIONS AND SINGLE PIECES
As I'm sure you can tell from the website my passion is for American military items. That's not to say that I am not interested in purchasing items from other countries and it's even possible that one day I may venture out and offer items for sale from other countries but as of now I'm looking for American militaria. If you are unsure as to what exactly you have and need more information, I will be happy to provide you with an appraisal. Since I might be interested in purchasing the item, I will attempt to provide at least two examples of similar items that have sold recently to obtain a fair market value for the item in question.
The majority of what I have collected over the years relates to the United States infantry. The uniforms, equipment and weapons they would have worn and used from the Revolution to Afghanistan. Therefore, if it relates to the United States military and in particular the infantry, I'm interested in purchasing it.
